BRIEF: Bemidji Lions donate to Eagle Project

Oct. 07--Bemidji Boy Scout Daniel Roberts has chosen the installation of musical playground equipment in the Paul Bunyan Inclusive Playground as his Eagle Project.
Musical instruments in playgrounds enrich the sensory and play experience for children on the autism spectrum and others with special needs, a press release said.
The instruments will match existing playground equipment. They will include a xylophone, chimes and a bongo drum. The cost of the equipment is more than $11,000, not including shipping and installation.The Bemidji Lions Club recently made a donation and others wanting to can do so by sending donations to Daniel Roberts, 4651 Waville Road NE, Bemidji, MN, 56601. Checks should be made to BSA Troop 25 (Daniel Roberts).
